Book Cover Design

THE OBJECT
As a long time literary lover, I picked up the practice of redesigning book covers as a way to further engage with books I’d recently finished. I sourced all imagery, retouched every photo, selected typography (and even designed some myself) to best fit each title. The process allowed me to research literary audiences, practice designing for genre and mood, and think from the perspective of a consumer. What would stand out on the shelf at my favorite bookstores?
